MURIEL D’ANSEMBOURG studied Screenwriting in Amsterdam and ran a production company in The Netherlands before settling in London. She returned to studies for a Masters in Filmmaking & Directing at the London Film School, where she graduated with distinction.
Over the past four years she has written, directed and shot several award winning short films and documentaries. These films are typically powerful dramas where characters transgressive behaviour leads to surprising moments of intimacy. They have won fourteen awards and been screened at over sixty film festivals world-wide.
“Muriel d’Ansembourg’s ‘Play’ is a beautifully executed short film full of character and charm. Some really strong performances from young talent, both engaging and believable in support of the story’s comedy and edgy play on innocence.”
